Mettā Atom – Choreomania | Uniting Souls Music

There is more than one way into Mettā Atom’s electronic universe. On Choreomania, the Honolulu-based producer presents a 16-track project informed by the physical pull of house and techno, alongside a wider interest in immersive soundscapes and expressive vocal elements. Released on Uniting Souls Music, the album brings together several Hawaii-based vocalists, including Kapu, Ky Kalani, Jade Muniz, Jon Elis and Jayden, adding a collaborative dimension to a project that moves between dancefloor energy and more reflective territory. Its broad stylistic framework offers space for different moods and approaches without losing sight of the communal impulse that underpins club music.
Mettā Atom’s background as a multi-instrumentalist adds context to this expansive outlook. Having explored different musical traditions before developing a long-standing practice in electronic production, he approaches the studio with an understanding of music that extends beyond programming and percussion alone. His work at Kala Waikiki, the Honolulu venue he owns and operates, further connects his musical vision to the environments in which it is experienced. With Choreomania, that relationship between sound, setting and community becomes an important part of the album’s identity, positioning the release within a dance music culture that values atmosphere as much as movement.
