Jaguar unveils full debut EP ‘flowers’ including eponymous focus track Out Now on her UTOPIA imprint

UK tastemaker, DJ/producer and broadcaster Jaguar releases her debut EP ‘flowers’ on her label UTOPIA, out now in full. 

The title track shows her more introspective side, contrasting the high- energy hedonism of WILD!, WHITE PONY and club weapon MUZIK. 

Co-written and produced with Jacana People (London Grammar, Antony Szmierek, Lawrence Hart) and featuring vocals from Caitlin Stubbs aka Aurelia Ray (Dom Dolla, Gorgon City, Jax Jones), ‘flowers’ is a dreamy, delicate club cut of soft chords, spiralling synths features Jaguar’s trademark spoken word. 

Shaped by two years of reflection, therapy and creative exploration, ‘flowers’ marks a new chapter for Jaguar as she transforms past mental health struggles of her late 20s into poignant, captivating art. 

Jaguar says: ‘’flowers is about reconnecting with your inner child and finding resilience after hardship. In therapy, I rediscovered the fearless six-year-old my mum called “Madam”. I was this bolshy little thing with big hair, hands on hips, bossing everyone around. When you’re 6/7 years old, you’re you in your purest form. I was drawn to “Madam”, and soon realised that she is my inner power, my spirit animal. ‘flowers’ is a gift to myself, documenting deep personal growth and a creative journey that’s changed my life. Now, at 30 years old, I have never felt more like me! After healing pains of the past, I can finally stride onwards, my younger self and future self, connected, stood side by side.” 

Hailed DJ Mag’s Underground Hero and Mixmag’s Broadcaster Of The Year for her commitment to championing emerging artists such as Barry Can’t Swim, Hannah Laing, Elkka, TSHA and Prospa from day one on BBC Introducing on Radio 1 Dance, Jaguar’s arrival at music making is highly anticipated by fans and peers alike. 

Jaguar’s debut EP showcases her fearless creativity, blending production, songwriting, vocals and spoken word, with collaborations from 1111, Bullet Tooth, lleo and Air Wolf Paradise. 

Jaguar celebrates the EP launch and 5th anniversary of UTOPIA on 20th September with her biggest headline show yet, a day party at Ministry of Sound Courtyard alongside I. JORDAN, Lexii and LU. Tickets here.
