Electro prodigy of Ibiza Greta Levska is hot property right now. Following on from November’s incredible Moulin Krew, Greta Levska brings you the phenomenal BASS, available 14th March. BASS is the second single from Greta Levska’s eagerly awaited debut album, released on Get Physical (the sublime, eclectic label founded by M.A.N.D.Y. , DJ T. and Booka Shade).

It’s not every day a producer of Greta Levska’s talent comes along, which is why quite rightly, she’s the most talked about new artist on the electro scene at the start of 2025. Already a firm favourite of Solomun, Damian Lazarus, and Gorgon City, her last single Insanity was Number 1 in the Beatport Indie Dance chart. She enjoys huge support across BBC Radio 1, with Mixmag premieres and DJ Mag features to boot.

Greta Levska deconstructs your favourite electro sounds from the last forty years, then lovingly rebuilds them into something original. Moulin Krew’s first-generation building blocks were forged from old-skool hip-hop back in the 80s. BASS’s bricks are 2G.

BASS is a track that grabs you from the first thwack of its infectious beat, letting you know that this isn’t a track to sit down to, that it’s going to demand your full attention for the duration. If that message wasn’t clear enough, the filthy bassline kicks in during the fifth bar and leaves you in no doubt. Simple, catchy and leaving you to wonder how the hell nobody has come up with this brilliant bassline before. The first vocal line plays tricks with your mind. Is it ‘Everyday Assessment’? ‘Every day’s a cesspit’? Perhaps the dancefloor or the countless radio listeners will decide, when BASS becomes the hit, that it deserves to be this March.

Then comes the second personality of BASS, the smooth counterpart to the hyperactive one-demon-band that’s been in charge so far ‘Just a glance…from behind…’ croons our mystery vocoder... This is where Greta Levska shows you her skills on the keys, two different lines play though each other, a dreamy high staccato ‘la-la-la-la’ and a rock riff, played on synth as if it was a guitar.

As if this wasn’t enough, BASS is just a sneak peek of what’s coming on her album, also released on Get Physical in June. Spoiler: It’s tasty.

Greta Levska tells us more: "As my debut album unfolds, you’ll hear how each record takes inspiration from how electro has travelled through the decades, until now. BASS has a heavy influence of B Boy breaks from the 80s. I wanted to reimagine the soundtrack of the movie ‘Breakdance’, with my own electro stamp.”

Are you hooked yet? Why not book in that trip to Ibiza and hear one of Greta Levska’s sublime DJ sets. 2024 saw incredible parties Pikes, Destino, Club Chinois and Amnesia. You won’t regret it. 2024 was huge for her. 2025 is going to be massive.
