With DAM001, dZb Advance Music Records lays down its foundation with clarity and purpose. Led by Paul Render, J Ballesteros, and Leopold Bär, the label brings together Feisfois, JBLLSTRS, Leopold Bär, Franco Rossi, Paul Render, and Oscar Sanchez in a record that emphasizes discipline, tension, and functional techno aesthetics, closing with the appropriately titled First Strike.
Feisfois’ “Invasion,” one of the five vinyl tracks mastered by the label founders, stands out for its unwavering focus. Built around a dense and looping rhythmic core, the track advances steadily, favoring subtle shifts over obvious transitions. The energy remains constant, allowing the tension to accumulate naturally. Its stripped percussion and controlled bassline create a deep, immersive state, ideal for late-night dancefloor moments. Nothing feels excessive—every sound plays a specific role in maintaining momentum.
The sound design remains intentionally bare, highlighting repetition as its main expressive tool. When played loud, the track’s physical dimension becomes undeniable, supported by a mix that preserves both depth and definition.
This is clearly club-driven music, shaped by and for the needs of DJs and dancers alike.
Available in stores and on Bandcamp.
